Drug users in order to feed their habits move into crime to satisfy their need, so labs thrive, sucking in illicit money gained by those who become criminals to feed their habits. Once it starts it's like a destructive fungus, and simply spreads it's filaments throughout communities and eventually poisons and destroys those communities, annd many people along the way. A Good argument for decriminalization? Take the criminal element out of the equation? Make it (drug use) an illness? Treat it as such? Price drops to zip?...No Profit incentive? (for the gansta's) ( and I might add, for the government as well?) Of course a million drug enforcement folks would lose their jobs as well ?... Not to mention a bunch of Senator's and Congressmen's pork barrel programs? If we spent 1/10 the cash we as tax payers spend now, on good anti drug education? And of course, if there is no profit margin, there is no excitement for all of the drug hooked, poverty stricken kids to sell the crap, to get ten lb. of gold neckless? I guess that's why it don't happen ( and never will)? Would the world be a safer place for Vanagon camping then? JC...
