Folks, need some help.


Our beloved '91 Westy (83,000 miles) is starting to act up. The last
three times we've driven it, the following has happened...


We start it from cold. It sputters, won't rev up, and has no power, but
will idle fine. We shut it off. It starts up again immediately. And then
it runs fine. Sometimes we have to shut it off and restart twice for it
to "fix itself".


Is this "Vanagon Syndrome"?


Or maybe something else one of you has fixed before?


Thanks for any suggestions...we're supposed to go camping next weekend,
and don't want to miss it!
