Frank Condelli said VW of Canada performed this recal service for him on a car he brought in from NY.

VW of Canada must be a lot more generous than VOA. I called my dealer, who said this was a service bulletin and not a recall. He said that if I didn't receive a postcard about it, there was no recall.

If a postcard is sent to the forest but there's no one there to receive it, is there a postcard? Seems that the USPS is really in charge of VWs safety programs!

So I called VOA and they said there were no open recalls for the Vanagon.

Looks like a recall to me since that word is used in the body of the memo.
