My original reason for buying the Vanagon ( well, apart from a price I couldnīt resist compared to any other vehicle that could haul my at that point more extensive family ) was three of them caralarms - with a litter comming ! Today I only travel with one - a six year old Belgian Shepherd Dog / Tervueren male named Khamsin.
