Subject: torsion rod bushings vs. upper control arm bushings
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hey team,

I have an 85 Westfalia GL that needs some front end work. My mechanic tells me I need torsion rod bushings and then gives me a part number of 251 407 077, which looks to me like upper control arm bushings. Are these the same part? Apparently I need both. You can tell from my question that I am not familiar with this type of work - I'm just trying to find my own parts and save some money instead of ordering from the VW dealer. My van has 260k km on it, and looking through my receipts I don't think I've replaced these parts before.

Thanks again Jeff
