hey all, since i finished my syncro westy project in april i have logged approx 70 miles a week on some pretty burley off road terrain here in western montana. (thanks for the new vc derek!!) have done some great camping and i am totally amazed where this van will go. i have a 98 blazer that i am concerned to take on these trails where my syncro goes laughing the whole way. i have even attempted some high water creek crossings with rear diff lock on, granny gear and no problem. this is the best way to get at these hard to reach salmon fly hatch spots!! anyways, i am seeing where the toll is taken on my van. it is around the wheel wells. they are getting totally rock chipped. i just had a new paint job and not too happy with these chips. isn't there some sort of rubber or plastic wheel well protector for sale out there? i swore i saw them somewhere. i checked bdepot and gowesty and no luck. anybody know where i can find these? TIA jason 87 syncro westy PS> i have gone camping and flyfishing every weekend this season and my fridge since being overhauled has not gone over 40 degrees, even at 94 degrees in the bus. usually it reads around 30-35 at around 75 degrees in bus. when it is really hot i have not seen it over 40 degrees in there. i highly recommend everyone to overhaul their fridge and put in new seals!! ice is great and cold beer is even better!
