How difficult is it to replace the pop top canvas on an 89 Vanagon? Which should I use staple of screw? Some helpful hints would be appreciated! Thanks Below are links to the archives. The first one is the main page where you can click on Search or click on various weeks. The second one is the same as if you went to the first one and clicked on search (the search page). http://gerry.vanagon.com/archives/vanagon.html http://gerry.vanagon.com/cgi-bin/wa.exe?S1=vanagon In the "For" box, if you just enter canvas you'll find more stuff than you ever wanted to know about various models going all the way back to 1994. Of course, you can refine the search and you can limit it to certain time periods if you want. If you include pop top .... don't forget that some folks posted using poptop or pop-top. I haven't replaced the pop top canvas on mine, and you'll probably hear from folks that have with some good advice. I understand, though, that 1980 through 1984 models use staples and the newer ones do not. Mike |
