Subject: Re: Towing a Vanagon with a Vanagon?

My westy had a previous family that towed a motorcycle trailor through Nevada hauling two pretty big bikes. The mechanic they consulted about the capabilities looked over the VW, replied that he could do it, but it would be a slow trip. It was. 25mph top speed up some long, long stretches of incline... Then it occured to the driver: The bigger bike had a more powerful engine than the vw...

Perhaps you could find a Big Honda Shadow to tow your Vanagon with? Seems about as logical.

Anyone who owns a vanagon ought to be a AAA member. You can't fix everything on the side of the road...
