Subject: FS Vanagon Air Cooled Engine
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I've got a special engine for your Westy. It's a CV series for 80-83 Air Cooled Vanagons. I got it from David Nix when we pulled it and installed a Subaru in his 82 Air Cooled Westy body. (Yes. believe it we did. Radiator, lower grill, front water heater the whole McGilla). At any rate this engine has Atlanta to Dallas Texas miles on it, about 950 miles I'd guess. This engine has OEM heads, OEM cylinders and Pistons. I have also gone through the piston and rod assemblies and balanced them. I have installed new piston rings on the 94mm pistons. So what you got here is a rebuilt engine with zero miles on the rings and a thousand miles on everything else. I'll sell this engine as a long block for $1300.00 with heads. (No core) I'll sell this engine as a short block for $1000.00 without heads or valve train. (No Core) I pulled this engine apart to inspect everything because it had been sitting for two years. In the process I ceramic coated the piston tops, cylinder walls, combustion chambers / exhaust and valves.
