Hi again,

First thanks to all who wrote me with both advice and compassion.
Like many of you said, I now realize it might take some time to
get everything settled.

I met the insurance adjustor for the first time today, but he was
very cautious not to make any commitments, so I didn't really get
much out of the meeting.

On a more engineering related topic, I looked at the damage and
realized both how strong the vanagon frame is, and how I was
lucky the vehicle that hit me had a normal bumper and not one
of those now fashionable bull bar like things that would have
hit higger and come through the drivers door instead.
