Subject: throttle responce question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

has anyone ever tried to modify or replace the stock small bore vanagon throttle body?

I've been looking at the small throttle plate on my 1980 air cooled vanagon and now know why it feels like racing with a restrictor plate.

the throttle plate on a saab 2.0L is significantly larger, I don't think i can change out the stock TB and retain the stock air distribution body (center of intake) but i think i can use one of the 2bbl adapter centers and use a larger TB from another model VW for slightly better responce.

also what is the general opinion on using ratio rockers on a stock 2.0L AC motor?

Dan in syracuse.
