What is the conventional wisdom on the EGR/mileage counter box these days? I see vendors selling a one piece speedo cable that bypasses the box. This will be the second one I have installed on my van, first one had the end stripped out, and this time due to a speedo cable tip that was inextricably fused into one end.

Also, anyone got a good used one that will fit an 83 WBX?
