Thanks for the help.
When I received the original call from the Porsche shop looking for the part
I was working on my $300 truck I just bought. I immediately began to search
the web, vendors, and then finally made my plea to the list.
After that, I went back outside, I discovered that right behind where I had
been standing when I took the original phone call I have the exact pieces
you mention (and show in your pictures). I called the shop back. I was ready
to drop everything and drive this part down to San Antonio immediately for
them. I called the shop and we talked about it some more. Unfortunately,
while the inlet and outlet sizes are right, the diameter of the rest of the
hose is too big.
They are working on a restoration of a twin-cam 1959 Porsche Carrera. They
are perfectionists, so this has to be right. I think they are prepping this
car for the annual "Porsche Parade" or annual get together of the Porsche
Club of America. It is in Fort Worth this year, Stan. Are you going to be
going?
I still think that some tubing for a Eberspacher heater would be the right
size. If anyone knows where we can get some of that in a hurry it would be
greatly appreciated.
