Which is one of many reasons why I have precisely hung onto my VW-issued
Microfiche plates for the Camper, up thru the 1992 issue date and back as
far as 1974.  Where ever there are changes in cabinets, curtains, water
system parts, fridge, stove, lp, etc., these plates have been a godsend in
proper identification as to Westfalia Serial Number divisions.  The tricky
part is determining which ones apply to USA, Canada, Europe and other
markets the Westy was sold in as well as which model (P Series) the changes
applies to.  While it's not 100%, Westfalia sure provided a lot of Serial
Number data to VW to include in the fiche plate.
