I ended up bying the special tool to release the wires from the connector blocks (from Bus Boys), I have used little screw drivers in the past but that little tool works a whole lot better, and worth $3 in saved frustration and possible damage to conectors. I then greased the tiny holes in the new rubber gromet/dust caps (from Bus Depot) with dielectric grease and gently pushed the the wire with the female connector still attached through the holes, worked alot better than I thought it would given the small size of the hole. Very inexpensive project but help keep those electical conections protected from the elements.
