Hi everyone--a couple of months ago I followed up on a lead from one of the list members and purchased a 87 syncro (no westy) unseen on the eastcoast.the guy gave me the phone number of his mechanic and both of them assured me the car was in good running condition with a 30000mi engine from boston bob in it. cosmetically the car needed some tlc but was great to drive. for $2000.00 I didn't expect too much but what I got is a vw with a lot of rustspots and an engine with needs at least an oxygensensor. To make this short the van is in ashland,or.i know I'm not bringing it back to it's original beauty, as I hoped. anybody in the area interested?
