Sure, why not !
Go to the wreckyard and get a pair of sidemarker lights that you could mount
inside some side or roof panel then youŽll get a non disturbing light wich
woŽnt be in your way !
Myself I used that swich for a 12 V CPU fan that I put in a roof vent,
perfect for when you leave your car out in the sun and want it to be cool
fast - or when it gets foggy in the winter !
OK, I donŽt have any AC and the vent was to be anyway cause I use the
Vanagon as a camper :-)
I did another nice electrical installation too, added some cables to the
original ceiling lights so no matter what door I open, everything goes on !
And with a capacitor hooked to it, itŽll stay lit for 15-20 sec. after I
close the door ...
Suits me and my dog just fine :-)
BTW, that oil filler - make sure that it just didnŽt come loose at the other
end, the surprise when you fill oil the next time might not be so pleasant
othervice ;)
