I bought mine 3 months ago, a 87 Wolfsburg with the weekender option and 202K on the clicker, in the three months I have taken it on a 1500 mile trip through the Smokey mountains, at least a couple of 400 mile trips to south Florida, and countless 100-300 mile in state trips, I now have 208K on the clicker, for anybody keeping track, that is 6 thousand miles in three months. Sometimes she makes me nervous, she started missing a touch climbing some mountains in North Caroline, but straightened out after a couple of minutes and gave no more trouble the rest of the trip, but after we got back, we were in downtown Orlando, in rush hour traffic, and the missing started up again, it would idle, but you could not rev it up at all, then it quit and I had to push it off the road. After staring at the engine for 3 minutes, I noticed the coil wire was half off, so I pushed it on the coil the rest of the way, and she ran great again. On another occasion, luckily about 1 mile from home, I noticed a LARGE coolant puddle underneath, turns out the expansion tank cracked, my local import auto parts store had one in stock, that fixed that problem. And just tonight coming back from Orlando, at 11PM cruising 70mph down I-4 with the air cranking, I remarked at just what a great van it is ;)
