Hope everyone hasn't left town, yet. I was planning to on Monday, a long trip, but now not sure. I have a slight ticking noise coming from the area of left rear wheel, noticeable when coasting to a stop, in gear or out, speed-related. It started out as barely noticeable, but now seems to be louder. I have eliminated rocks in the treads, and the wheel cover and checked the wheel bolts and CV bolts. A local VW mechanic jacked up that wheel and spun it, couldn't hear it, but did say the bearings sounded "a little dry". So, any suggestions? Will a "little dry" bearing make it 1,200 miles. Thanks for any help. Jerry '90 Westy, 162K (are you listening Bob in SLC?)
