yes sir, I am :) Geez Jerry, and when you were on the last step to leaping into such a cool trip!!! I also would have thought of the CV but Jim would know better than I. I just had the right front wheel bearing replaced a few months back and can tell you that mine lasted for well over a year and a few thousand miles before I got a clue. After the work was done (I didn't do it) I could hear and even feel the difference, but the steering wheel will pick up alot of things that the seat of your pants doesn't. Anyway, hope this gets sorted out successfully and real soon so you can do your trip OK,
