Hey, when Digest Processor castigates Volkswagen engineers for doing it
wrong I have to come to their rescue because no one else is. He obviously
doesn't know what "volatile" means:

I suggest you and Digest study some chemistry before suggesting everyone
reverse the order of their filter and pump. If you must learn the hard way
do it on your own time  but don't  spread misinformation on this list.

You could fill your tank with bunker fuel, maybe that would illustrate the
point without mentioning the "d" word.

I'm not talking about my personal preferences, I'm talking about science.
Gasoline vaporizes in the slightest vacuum, especially in hot weather.
Diesel does not. If thinking about it gives you a headache then leave it the
way Volkswagen built it.
