Okay, so now I've got a few hundred miles on my new Big Brakes. Do I notice a difference? Subtlely, yes. But I can't completely attribute it to the Big Brakes.

Okay. First, I installed the Big Brakes on my Westy Syncro. Compared to my 7 Passenger Syncro, I always felt that the brakes on the Westy were just barely adequate. They felt mushy, and just barely enough to bring me down to a stop comfortably in a panic situation. After the conversion, My Westy brakes now feel as good as my 7 Passenger Syncro's standard brakes.

On the other paw...as we were bleeding the brakes on the Westy, the fluid coming out was pretty yucky looking...and since brake fluid itself is clear, this says to me, that the brake fluid probably needed to be changed, which could partially explain the difference between my Westy and 7 Passenger vanagon's brakes.

Still, since I'm planning on putting more horsepower in the engine compartment, I like the idea of upgrading the brakes.

Now to do something about how much my Westy leans when I'm going through curves...
