Russelll, glad you like your new (relatively) vehicle. Sounds like you made out like a bandit on your purchase.

As for the fuel pump whine, be sure all y our filters and fuel lines are clear of any obstructions. Sounds like your pump may be working against an abnormal head pressure. On some vans, there is a filter on the fuel tank side of the pump as well as on the downstream side. Be sure there is no obstruction in either place.
