Subject: 87 syncro weekender for sale
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed

i'm switching to bike/boat transport and have to give up my dreams of a fully syncro-nized lifestyle. along with those dreams go an 87 syncro weekender w/144k miles (about 20k on a rebuilt engine), and after some typical vanagon puttering, it ought to be fairly solid vehicle.

the van's blue, the interior is in pretty nice shape (great sleeping with the seats folded down), runs well in general, and has had a fair bit of work done in the last three years -- brakes and brake lines, alternator (i have receipts since the late 90's)...

on the immediate down side, i haven't been driving it because the oil pressure warning light flashes (no buzzer). other known issues are the unreliable temperature gauge, bad fan switch (you have to leave on the a/c fan is all -- but the wiring is a little funny in general), okay radiator, one small dent, and a little rust at the seams.

price is negotiable, but i figure that around $1800 (give or take) is fair.

happy to send pictures if you want them. it's based in salem, ma.

colin
