I live in the UK, and have just purchased an H+R sports suspension kit from Germany for my Vanagon. It consists of four replacement springs (45mm or 1.75" lower than stock) and four KYB gas shocks, made in Japan. I was surprised ... I expected German Boge or Bilstein shocks. I am not familiar with KYB gas shocks and wondered if any of you guys in the USA (and Germany) had any opinions about the likely ride quality. I am looking for good firm control of suspension movement but hopefully without a harsh ride. Any experiences? Tony |
