hey all, it tis time for the fuel line replacement on my 87 syncro westy. i ordered the kit from ken and it should be here in a couple of days. here is my big question: my leak is from the connection of one of the gas lines coming out of tank and going to a 2 inch metal connection then on to the "t" by distributor. the leak is from the first connection about 8 inches out from tank. well how do i replace the line coming out of tank? do i have to remove the gas tank which would in turn mean pull engine and lower tranny? it seems to me that those two lines from gas tank only go a couple of inches behind the firewall, well those couple of inches are very tight and i cannot get anything back there. could i just cut my line where it is leaking and extend the connection to fresher hose? or what? i don't see how this is going to be "easy" like so many have said about replacing the gas lines. tia jason _________________________________________________________________ MSN Life Events gives you the tips and tools to handle the turning points in your life. http://lifeevents.msn.com |
