Get and burn Buhach per the instructions. Will keep skeets out of Vans and tents, and generally discourage them. However, clothing is the best protection when outside those areas. I use Deet when bare skin is exposed. In Alaska I have seen mosquitoes so think on cloting at times that a yellow wind jacket looked like a leapard skin. During certain times there is no choice but to wear a hat with a mosquito net.
