I found some milky white stuff dripping from my tailpipe after my 90GL sat overnight at a friends house 3 hours away. He had read an article saying that was a dead gievaway that the cat is close to toast. We barely got back home as the engine would run fine at higher rpms, but not idle well and the closer ww got to home, the worse it ran at low rpms. The last two stop lights were killers!!. Gutted it and haven't gotten good mileage since. As a side note, does the O2 sensor need to have that 900 degree environment to function properly?
