snip If you were going to make a trip through LA, CA, what would you do? /snip Hi Robert! If you have a full 5-6 hours there and traffic or some other errand is not a consideration...well, as a Minnesotan, I'd just recommend visiting the ocean. I'd play in the water, even in winter. If I knew for sure I'd only have 5 to 6 hours I'd probably hit Venice Beach - first goofing off in the waves and then drying off while doing a little people-watching. (understatement alert --> ) If you haven't been there before, there's some pretty good people-watching there. Huntington Beach was really nice the last time I was there, and there's a surfing museum I've been meaning to see... Uhm... when in doubt and with a time limit, we don't push an experience. Just a little playtime in the water and a beer with locals would do it for me. If you're coming from an oceanside stay, a drive to the Hollywood sign and Westy picnic might be nice. Looking forward to see what others suggest... -Julia |
