Sorry if this has been covered before, but I can't seem to find the posts. I am still seeking a way to raise the front end of my '88 Westy. When loaded for camping, I have very little clearance left in the front end for the roads we tend to travel on. (My front air dam is now badly battered - I only leave it on as early warning that I'm about the hit, and gauge how badly it will bottom out...) Empty, I have about 28.5" measured from a concrete floor to the edge of the front wheel arch. This drops to 26" or less when loaded. The rear is about 29" empty, and only drops 1-2" when loaded normally. Will Syncro front springs fit? Will they help? Any other options? I've seen the spacer trick for the rear, but it doesn't appear any such trick can be done on the front... ps: I have KYB's all around, Gr-2 front, GasAdjust rear. I'm thinking of upgrading to Bilsteins in the front to help with nosedive, the rear are ok for now. -- Shawn Wright http://Zuiko.sls.bc.ca/swright ~This message sent by Pegasus Mail, the safe E-Mail alternative~ "Friends don't let friends use Outlook" |
