I would guess it's because of the volume. The Vanagon archive holds all posts from (Unca, correct me if I'm wrong) about April 1994 to present. The type2 archive from July 1996 to present. Hence, the Vanagon archive is two years of posts larger. Additionally, unless Tom has upgraded the hardware recently, the type2 server is newer/faster. (But Vanagon has better software. ;o) ) Jim
