No, I have not forgotten.

Yes, thousands of innocent people died, and many thousands more lost loved ones.

Yes, unfortunately America did have a roll in the attack. If we, not you or I individually, but America as a country, treated other countries with the diginity, respect, and courtesy that they deserve as sovereign nations, they would not hate us so much. Some will hate us no matter what, but far fewer then do now because of how we have treated them since becoming a world power.

The single most important thing that seperates America from many other countries is our Constitution and the freedoms that it provides, but we chose to not apply those same ideals when dealing with others.

The police state mentality in Ians story is not the America that I want to live in, and I will support any lawful efforts to keep it from becoming that.
