There is a 24" rule someone you talk to on the street is usually polite, but it you put a <parts> counter between you they forget please, thank you and that you are human. Work that counter for over 10 years - hooBOY.

I waxed my vanagon this week - I even clayed it - the bumpers too. it is SLICK. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would maybe 3.5 hours (including being the referee for a 4 & a 2 year old). It felt good to put that much love into the van with 197k on the clock
