Kevin,

The firing order should be 1,4,3,2.

If you are standing at the back of the van, #1 is top right side #4 is bottom left side #3 is top left side #2 is bottom right side

The distributore rotates clockwise.

looking down at the top of the distributor, the wire orientation should look like this:
