Kevin I didn't see your original post. I'm copying the list in case I give faulty advice, someone can give you better advice. :-)

You may have dislodged some gunk in your cooling system that is jamming up your radiator. If you put your hand near the front of it, is the entire surface getting hot evenly?

The other unlikely situation is that your cylinder head has a small crack in it or the inner seal is somehow letting the exhaust come in contact with a bit of coolant.

Is your coolant level steady on a long drive? Do you have white smoke coming out of the exhaust? If you have white smoke, it should be more than the normal amount that comes from condensation.

If you bled the system recently, the coolant level may be going down and you're thinking that it's going down because air is coming out of the system? If the level is going down, you also might have a leak somewhere inside the heads, which would also contribute to the higher temps.

When you changed the head gaskets, did you also change the thin green and black o-rings on the outside of the cylinder? They look really easy to break or get squished out of the groove.

Regards, Craig
