My brother shared this trick with me for removing o2 sensors:

1) Get the pipe and sensor hot (engine running for a couple of minutes if still on, propane torch if off vehicle) 2) Apply parafin (candle wax) at the threads/junction of the pipe & sensor - wait a minute or so for melting and thread penetration 3) Apply your favorite torque method while still hot

This is the method he uses to remove (literally) hundreds of o2 sensors - he works in the Dyno Lab at the Daimler-Chrysler Tech Center.
