Karl, thanks again for your help. And, thanks again to everyone else.

I would have cancelled the trip if I hadn't isolated the problem. The breakthrough was understanding that the soot in the exhaust was causing my new O2 sensor to get clogged up. Also, it's possible that I was getting poor ground connection.

Now, I can think about the lake and sunshine instead of fuel and air. :-)
