Subject: Bliking coolant light and back firing?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi all any ideas what would common cause may show these symptoms:

1. freeway deaccelaration at 60-70mph causes backfire.

2. Coolant temp light blinking. Coolant level ok. Temp verified ok at factory AND aftermarket temp gauages. Maybe bad temp level sending unit but ironic I get the back firing too.

Is the computer changing the spark curve based on the low coolant (false) condition and causing the back firing?

Thanks for any ideas!
