OK, so I guess I'm the weird one -- the engine in our 90 is fine for the coast and the mountains in Virginia. For the most part I'm not in a hurry... With enough following distance I can simply stop (even with the brakes in the 83!) rather than acellerating my way out of a situation.

Regarding traffic lights -- some of them around here won't let more than 3 cars through no matter WHAT. Doesn't matter what you're driving :)
