Mack, This may not be the answer you want. How about just make your own. I was in a good hw store this pass weekend and saw it has a good selection of window screen material ranging from aluminum to lynon-like material with varying degree of flexibility including the really soft suitable or sewing up those for the front windows. Last time I checked there isn't one I like for sale. I will sew up a couple myself soon. The design I have in mind is one that you open the door and slip it from the top. The closed door will clamp the assembly in place. I plan to have the screen inside. The window will fully functional so you can control the amount you want to open. I have never use the factory camper rear hatch screen for security reasons at night. - Vince -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of Mark Cumnock Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2004 7:36 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: looking 4 bug screens front pass/driver window cheap
I am looking for some bug screens that ARE NOT $70.00 plus shipping. Would be nice if they have a magentic strip , so you can roll the windows up if it is raining. Does anyone have a lead??? |
