Thanks for all of your suggestions for fixing this persistent and annoying problem. Those who diagnosed it as the idle stablizer control unit definately hit it on the head. With that fixed, the whole idle and timing had to be changed, and it is running much leaner. I am still having some low idle at a cold start, but that is mild compared with the other problem. Now I need to post a new problem, my fuel gauge is pegged to empty, after parking on a steep tilted driveway.
