Just returned from apx 2500 mile trip to SoCal. Mostly trouble-free if not worry-free. Almost home I noticed my fresh air fan has stopped working. Now I see that my headlights do not work from the switch either. All other electrical is okay. If I pull and hold the dimmer switch in, the brights go on and the fresh air fan turns, but the fan turns only on every other "click". In other words, it seems like in either the high beam or low beam position, voltage is able to feed back to the fan switch, but only with the dimmer switch in the "flash" position. I don't know how to tell which position the dimmer switch is in. I can hear a relay click every time I pull the dimmer switch. Is this a latching circuit? I don't see any latching path in my Bently. Also, this happens whether the ignition is on or off. Thanks for any guidance. Tom Salicos '87 Westy Syncro "Ravenous" |
