The automatic ones used in kitchen ranges use 110 volts and re-spark in a series until the knob/valve is let go and advanced to a flame height setting. Far simpler... We use a butane 6" lighter. A fellow camper pointed out that even after the gas is used up in the lighter, the piezzo still sparks and is useful for lighting our stoves...
