I'd REALLY like to see a DIY version of this kit... just the 5cyl bell housing needing minimal modification for the clutch/flywheel to work. I can fabricate motor mounts, injection, and exhaust... i can't make a BH.. and didn't have the $$ when Karl was selling his. according to VW SA dealership parts counter the SA 5cyl BH goes for approx $290 $US, add in shipping, tariffs, and the middle man's $$ $500 isn't all that bad. but not all that good. I have a syncro with a smokey, bad exhaust pipe, bad water pipe (good heads) motor i'm planning on removing and selling as a running core. to help finance a 5cyl BH in the fall.
