I've been thinking about this recently. I haven't done it yet but what I think I'm going to do is to use regular screen material and sew in a hem containing craft magnets. I was at Walmart the other day and they sold magnets that were 1/2 inch wide and a few feet long.

I've not tried sewing screen material so I don't know how well it will sew but I'll experiment and let you know.

I am looking for some bug screens that ARE NOT $70.00 plus shipping. Would be nice if they have a magentic strip , so you can roll the windows up if it is raining. Does anyone have a lead???
