Subject: Size spec for pop-top bolt?
Comments: cc: wetwesties@yahoogroups.com

Hi all?

Can anyone give me the specs for the short carriage bolt that goes through the westfalia pop-top to secure the struts that lift and hold the pop-top in position when open? These are the bolts that go through the top less than a foot back from the forward edge of the pop-top, securing the strut "foot", which is attached to the pop-top by two such bolts and two phillips head wood screws.

I had two of those bolts snap off on me when re-installing my pop-top. The bolts appear to be about 1-2 cm long, and take a 10mm nut.

Any suggestions on where to locate a couple of these bolts in the Vancouver, BC area would be appreciated, too. Pacific Fasteners doesn't carry metric carriage bolts.

Thanks,

T.
