Hi Volks,

I have caught VW fever. I have owned my 85 vanagon for almost a year now and I have decided that I need to ditch my S-10 and buy another VW as my daily driver. I am looking to by a Bug, but I have a few questions before I start looking....

1. What are the "best" years? (reliability, are there years that I should avoid?, etc.)

2. What are the problem areas on the bugs? I have heard bad stories about rust in the floorpans, anywhere else I should be watching?

3. Any other things I should know?

Thanks in advance,

Dan Wohlers Iowa City, IA
