"Can anybody share their opinions on whether or not I need to install a new headlight relay? Any thoughts on the best source of a new relay?"

Yes, the van headlight switch can't handle the higher current and melts. The relays will take care of that. AFAIK there's no "best" place to get relays but .... Volks Cafe, Go Westy, TerryK, are a few places.

I just recently acquired some new H4 healights for little ol' Limax and I'm planning on putting in some 80/100 W bulbs.

Thanks
