Jack,

You miss the point. I know it is not suppose to be there for the camper for the reason the duct in the door goes no where because of the camper cabinetry. Despite the design intention it create a problem where cold air escape from the duct between the door and the jam because of the missing gasket the connects the two when the door is closed.

Remedy to this problem: 1) Find a gasket from a non camper or a junked camper. RHS or LHS does are interchangeable. 2) Cut the gasket at one point so you don't have to remove the electrical harness. Put the gasket around the harness. Use rubber cement to re-glue the cut. Fit the gasket onto he jam. 3) Remove the duct tape like tape behind the door vent on the driver side to vent the pressurize air behind the driver seat

I have meant to do this mod for 10 years but just haven't bother to find the spare gasket.

it's not supposed to be there on the camper ... no place for the air to go, what with the cabinets and the overhead where the light is. :) i found that out the hard way ... fussed at the Dreaded Previous Owner for removing the duct gasket, so i bought a new one and put it in. then couldn't find any place to feel the air coming out!! doh! :)

but it looked better with one there. ;)

good luck! joel
