As a hopeful future Vanagon owner, this vehicle set me a-drooling, particularly because I'm in Portland.

But, my wife pointed out that a van this heavily customized and kitted would probably not be a good newbie van, because getting it serviced competently would be a challenge.

I wouldn't know where to begin to describe to a mechanic what it's got going on in it. :-)
